The Russian Samovar is a unique thing. Since tea introduction to Russia from China, it has become a cultural staple. It is consumed at breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and any hour in between. Russians traditionally drink strong black teas which are flavored with sugar, honey, or jams. And one of the beloved ways of
preparing tea that has most been associated with Russia is the samovar.
Samovar tea is a special drink - strong black tea from a small teapot, diluted with hot water. The samovar is filled with cold water and was put
on burning charcoal in the draft chimney. Now we have, to our comfort but lacking romantic of ancient times, electric samovars.
Firstly, the water is boiled in the samovar. And, when there is no more smoke coming from the chimney, the samovar is carried to the table.
Strong tea essence is poured from the teapot and boiling water is added from the spigot.
Samovar owners have a passion for tea, for this is the most elegant and convenient way to make and serve tea. Having one in your home is sure to attract interest
