9 ozwheat flour
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp yeast
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp spices
1 tsp pepper/saltmeasures conversion [+]
Made a dough out of wheat flour, yeast, milk and water if needed to make good dough. Leave it for an hour. Roll into sheets, butter every sheet and pile 9-11 layers. Cut into squares. Stuffing: melt some butter, add egg-whites, salt, spices, beat up and mix with a bit flour. Spread the stuffing between layers. Coat surface with beaten up yolk with saffron, sprinke with poppy-seeds and bake at 234- 240°C during 20-25 minutes.
