Roast beef recipe

Roast beef is the beef baked in a special way. This delectable dish will delight you and your guests with a fine and piquant taste. The roast beef is never served cold and reheated. The garnish will serve baked potatoes, turnip, and fried and stewed mushrooms.

4 lb fat beef
1 ea carrot
2 ea onions
1 ea celery or parsley
8 ea black pepper peas
4 ea bay leaves
2 tsp ginger
1/2 c sour cream
1 tsp salt
1 c kvas

Wash beef carefully, take off the skin, cut off fat and chop the fat finely. Put the fat on a preheated pan until melt and fry the beef piece until brown, sprinkling with grated carrot, chopped onion, parsley and spices, then put in a preheated oven. Pour a little kvas every 10 minutes, turning regularly. Bake for 1 - 11/2 hour. 7-10 minutes before finishing, gather the jus in a cup, add 1/2 cup water to it and put in a fridge. When it is cool, take off the grease, heat, strain and dress with sour cream. Take out the beef from the oven, salt to taste, let cool down a little, then slice and pour over the juice.
