The Tsars Revenge recipe

This is a nice soup that has little calories and puckers you up with a black bread and butter, it can be a meal. Don't over burn the ingredients.

Ingredients:
one cabbage,
three potatoes,
cooking oil,
vegetable cube or stock,
paprika to add slight colour,
vinegar to taste,
salt to taste,
measures conversion [+]

Method:
In a good sizes pot add oil to one's taste.( nothing is removed from this). Slice cabbage and cut into moderately thin slices, (like sauerkraut). Cut potatoes into medium squares(do not wash). Put ingredients into pot and sauté over medium heat. You want to burn these ingredients to the bottom of the pot. This is going to add a special flavour. When the colour is somewhat black or dark brown add paprika and stir, shortly after add the vegetable stock to just cover the potatoes and cabbage. It is unimportant that the potatoes are fully cooked. Just a quick boil to incorporate the bottom burned in flavour. Then add small amount of vinegar to taste. Salt to taste.
